Overview
Access Matters coordinated and convened focus groups with OB/GYN residents and attendings, midwives, and patients, and conducted key informant interviews to develop key recommendations to reduce implicit racial bias and improve the quality of perinatal and birthing care for Black people in Philadelphia. These recommendations informed the development of a multi session implicit bias training for Philadelphia's 5 labor and delivery hospitals.
Accomplishments
Conducted focus groups with 59 participants consisting of doctors and midwives.
Developed an implicit bias training manual.
