The OVA is the action arm of Birth Justice Philly. By harnessing the data we gather and conducting real-time analyses of maternal morbidity and mortality trends, the OVA translates information into tangible action. In collaboration with a large, diverse group of stakeholders, the OVA works across sectors to develop innovative strategies, allocate expertise and funding to pilot projects, and integrate community perspectives and solutions into policies and programs to improve maternal health outcomes in Philadelphia.

The OVA is structured into three pillars: Implementation Teams, Coalition Building, and Community Education.
